The role

Are you an experienced 2-4 year PQE lawyer with a passion for commercial litigation? The role is a general commercial disputes role with an emphasis on contractual disputes, professional negligence, insolvency and regulatory proceedings. This is an excellent career opportunity to grow and progress in a fast-paced but rewarding environment.

The team is hard-working and high-performing, but collegiate, with a strong and unique pipeline of upcoming work. This role offers you many opportunities to apply your technical expertise to complex and challenging work and learn from a variety of highly experienced litigators.

The team

Our high performing, collegiate Dispute Resolution and Litigation team in Perth is growing and we are looking for a driven individual with commercial litigation experience to play a key role in our team. This practice group has been described in The Legal 500 Asia as "A top performer in the corporate and commercial litigation space" with the supervising Partner an internationally recognised dispute resolution and litigation lawyer with expertise in domestic and international arbitrations, mediations and expert determinations.

About you 

  • You’ll have 2-4 years experience in a similar position, ideally supporting a team in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • You have high attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You’re a team player with a collaborative approach.
  • You have exceptional time management skills, the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • You’re highly proficient and experienced in performing critical analysis and solving problems.
  • You’re experienced in dealing with highly confidential information and you have the ability to operate with discretion where required.
  • You’re enthusiastic and personally motivated to perform continuous learning and self-improvement.
  • You’re highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Filesite/Work 10 and Expert Aderant experience is desirable, but not required.
