The role

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our leading Commercial group.  As a Law Clerk you will be given the opportunity to do hands on legal work in a supportive and collaborative learning environment which encourages you to balance and blend your university commitments with work experience. As an example, some key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in Sale of Business Contracts: Provide assistance in business transactions, including preparing documentation.
  • Commercial Contracts: Provide support in commercial transactions, including drafting, reviewing and applying relevant laws and regulations.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research associated with matters.
  • Conveyancing Transactions Support: Provide assistance in conveyancing transactions, including preparing documentation.
  • Drafting Correspondence: Prepare and draft correspondence, including letters and emails

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 3 year LLB student or JD student
  • Excellent drafting and analytic thinking
  • Strong time management
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
  • A commitment to continually learning and developing

Please note that you must be in your 3rd year of legal studies to be eligible for this role.
