The role

This role is responsible for supporting and leading the design and delivery of the firm’s AML/CTF compliance program. You will participate in setting the strategic direction for how the program operates, from the perspective of risk assessments, policies and regulatory compliance through to training, audits and stakeholder engagement.

Day to day, you will oversee client and matter due diligence, manage compliance workflows and ensure the firm continues to meet its legal and professional obligations. There’s a strong focus on continuous improvement, with the opportunity to streamline processes and embed AML compliance into the way the firm works.

The team is hard-working and high-performing, but collegiate. This role offers you many opportunities to apply your technical expertise to complex and challenging work.

About you

• Degree qualified in Law, Risk Management, Business, Politics, Economics or related discipline. 
• Prior knowledge and/or experience in or demonstrable high-level familiarity with anti-money laundering (AML) regulatory requirements, Know Your Client (KYC) screening processes and tools, understanding of sanctions obligations.
• Experience in handling highly confidential information with a high degree of discretion and a focus on maintaining client privacy.
• Competence and capability to manage AML obligations.
• Ability to demonstrate good judgement and an inquisitive mind.
• A flexible and versatile outlook and the capacity to adapt to new situations, processes and technology
• You have exceptional time management skills, the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• You’re highly proficient and experienced in performing critical analysis and solving problems.
• You’re highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
