This is not a narrow, siloed coordinator role. At Piper Alderman, our Business Development & Marketing Coordinators are trusted contributors to the firm’s national BD and marketing program. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, gain exposure across events, digital, bids and campaigns, and be encouraged to bring ideas, not just execute tasks.
You will also be part of a forward-thinking BD & Marketing team with access to a Microsoft Copilot Enterprise license, using AI responsibly to streamline workflows, support content creation and improve how we work. This is a genuine opportunity to build modern BD and marketing capability in a leading commercial law firm.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Business Development & Marketing and based in our Brisbane office, this role offers broad, practical experience across:
- High-profile client events and firm initiatives
- National marketing campaigns and digital platforms
- Bids, proposals and capability content
- Day-to-day operational support that keeps a national team moving
It is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants breadth, visibility and development, rather than being confined to one narrow function.
What you will be doing
Events & client engagement
- Coordinate and support the delivery of seminars, webinars, client briefings and hybrid events
- Manage event logistics end-to-end (registrations, lists, run sheets, name tags and follow-up)
- Be involved in premium client experiences, not just internal events
Digital, content & platforms
- Maintain and update website and intranet content
- Upload and manage approved content across digital platforms
- Support article submissions and profile-raising initiatives
- Help manage image libraries and brand assets
Bids, proposals & capability content
- Support the Bids & Proposals Manager with credentials and content library updates
- Assist with formatting and presentation of pitch documents and capability statements
- Ensure content is accurate, current and aligned to firm positioning
Operations & team support
- Assist with marketing-related onboarding and offboarding activities
- Provide day-to-day coordination support across national BD & Marketing initiatives
- Support CRM list pulls, data hygiene and basic reporting
About you
You will thrive in this role if you are:
- Around one year’s experience in a marketing or business development assistant or support role, and ready to step up into a coordinator position
- Curious, proactive and keen to learn how a national firm operates
- Comfortable juggling priorities and working at pace
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Confident communicating with a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Interested in using tools like Microsoft Copilot and other technology to work smarter
A degree (completed or in progress) in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related discipline is well regarded.
