The Role

Our Perth office continues to grow, and our Legal Assistants are very important to us. Each Legal Assistant supports two teams of lawyers. We have a number of Legal Assistants with varying levels of experience, and they all work together to ensure our teams are successful. Their responsibilities are varied and include:

1. Opening and closing files
2. Billing and support with month‑end and finance related requirements throughout the month
3. Running conflict searches, ASIC and property searches
4. Preparing letters of engagement and related paperwork
5. General administrative duties including document creation, filing, and preparing reports
6. Back up and support to other Legal Admins during absences and during peak times
7. Supporting the lawyers and assisting with the day to day running of the office

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

1. Experience, ideally within in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment. We are willing to coach people with potential if necessary
2. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and ability to learn the general law firm and billing systems
3. Desire to roll the sleeves up, work with your team and the other team admins, in a friendly and professional way. We have a great culture and want to keep it that way.
4. An organised approach, and help organise others who are juggling many complex matters and rely on you
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills

Our Perth office prides itself on a warm and collaborative culture where people are valued. We have the sophistication of a large firm with the benefit of a smaller office feel. We work hard during the work day, and don’t have a long hours work culture.
