The role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Litigation Lawyer to join our Projects, Infrastructure & Construction group. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to receive comprehensive training and development to build a successful career in this specialised field. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with partners on construction matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on construction law issues
  • Prepare legal documents/contracts
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Assist in resolving disputes related to construction contracts, project delays, defects, and other issues
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in construction law and related regulations

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A passion for the construction industry
  • 1-3 years of post-admission general litigation experience
  • Excellent academic record with strong technical legal skills
  • Commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients
  • Ability to effectively manage time, handle competing tasks, and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with a supportive and collaborative working style
  • Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman
