The role

We are looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Legal Assistant to support our busy, high-performing DR & Litigation team. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to add an enormous amount of value to the day-to-day efficient running of the practice by immersing yourself in the team and will gain satisfaction from seeing your hard work make a difference.

This role will see you play a central and valued role in supporting a group of legal professionals. The opportunity provides a large amount of variety day to day and will be suited to an individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment. The team is hard-working and high performing, but collegiate and fun, ensuring they take the time to connect socially away from their desks. This role offers the right candidate many opportunities to demonstrate exceptional organisational and administrative skills, and work with a variety of highly experienced litigators.

With no two days the same, the tasks you will be responsible for are;

  • Executive Assistant duties for the Chairman of Partners and General Counsel such as travel bookings, taking and preparation of minutes, diary management and reconciliation of accounts
  • Opening and closing matters, conducting conflict searches
  • Assistance with court document preparation, online filing and drafting
  • Attending to time entries, processing third party invoices, monthly billing and reporting
  • Preparation of documents including letters, contracts and general correspondence
  • General adhoc administrative duties such as document management

About you 

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Strong experience in a law firm environment, ideally supporting a litigation practice group
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise to ensure deadlines are met
  • Exposure to working with systems (FileSite and Expert desirable), with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • High level of attention to detail whilst working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst also autonomously at times
  • Strong work ethic with a fun, engaging personality
