Key Responsibilities

Lead and Manage

  • Drive the bid qualification process with partners and BD Managers.
  • Project manage the development of bids and proposals, coordinating national bid teams and stakeholders across legal, general counsel, and business services.

Develop Winning Proposals

  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of bids, ensuring all services and tender specifications are addressed.
  • Contribute to written proposals, focusing on both content and presentation.
  • Advise on pricing models to meet client needs and ensure timely delivery of compliant, commercially sound bids.

Innovate with AI

  • Champion the use of AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot and other platforms) to streamline bid processes, enhance content quality, and improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI-driven insights into proposal strategy and design.

 Presentation & Coaching

  • Prepare and coach client-facing presentations and supporting materials.
  • Coach partners and BD team members on effective pitching and proposal strategies, including how to leverage AI tools for better outcomes.

 Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Arrange and conduct post-bid debriefs, sharing insights with the BD team.
  • Contribute to legal directory submissions and report on bid/tender status.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including AI-driven enhancements.

About You

You’re a proactive, adaptable professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing bid campaigns within a law firm environment.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, or similar) to improve content quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Proven success producing bids in response to formal procurement requests.
  • Exceptional business writing, editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to challenge and refine content from subject matter experts, including senior leaders.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to tailor responses to client needs.
  • A positive, flexible approach and commitment to teamwork.
